With basketball season in high gear and epic action on display of late, it's time to roll out another edition of 97.3 ESPN's High School Athlete of the Week.

This week, we have a new batch of local student-athletes this week who have proven themselves worthy in their respective fields.

 


Uumahd Collier, Basketball, Holy Spirit - The Spartans guard scored 25 points to push Holy Spirit past previously unbeaten Paulsboro. Collier connected on seven three-pointers in a 64-57 win.

 

Mikila Stefanski, Basketball, Cedar Creek - The senior buried Middle Township with a barrage of three-point field goals. She hit five long-distance connections, scoring 15 points in a 66-39 win.

 

Mike Toy, Swimming, Atlantic City - He claimed individual victories 100- and 200-meter freestyle races against Absegami. Toy also took part in a pair of relay wins during a Vikings victory.

 

Kaila Smith, Basketball, Millville - The sophomore scored 17 points and secured 11 rebounds in a win over Egg Harbor Township. Smith also blocked six shots.

 

Charlie Riccardi, Basketball, St. Joe - He scored 17 points in a pivotal win over United Conference foe Cedar Creek. Riccardi put up 12 points in the first half and hit a pair of three-pointers.
