Teen Killed in Early Morning Crash in Middle Township

A 19-year-old was killed Saturday morning in a crash on Route 47 in Middle Township.

Just before 7:30 Saturday morning, Middle Township Police responded to a crash on Route 47 in Dias Creek. Officers say 18-year-old Lacey Marlow of Gloucester was driving when she fell asleep behind the wheel, causing her car to leave the road and hit a tree. A 19-year-old front seat passenger was killed on impact. Marlow was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The crash is under investigation by Middle Township Police and the Cape May County Prosecutor's office.
