It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're a thrill-seeker you'll have a good reason to look forward to the spring of 2016. That's when Six Flags Great Adventure plans to debut it's 14th "scream machine."

Total Mayhem has been dubbed a "4-D, free-fly coaster" that will flip riders head-over-heels at least six times during a "weightless journey" that begins with passengers being lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill. Do we have your attention? Here's what comes next, according to a press release from the theme park:

"Thrill seekers will experience exhilarating leaps and dives along a horizontal plane, along with unexpected drops as they tumble from one level to the next. The wing seats amp up the pandemonium since riders will experience all of this chaos with no track above or below."

Park President John Fitzgerald said the ride will "expand into the realm of insanity – or spinsanity – with this new, vertical coaster that delivers gravity-defying somersaults with utter unpredictability."

The new Total Mayhem coaster is expected debut in spring of 2016, and joins the ranks of the parks other roller coasters including El Toro, Kingda Ka, Nitro and 2015’s El Diablo.
