Retired Ocean City Cop Admits Sex with Teen Employee, Won’t Go To Jail

A former Ocean City beach tag director who is also a retired police officer has pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl who worked for him.

The Press of Atlantic City reports Charles Cusack, a retired Ocean City police officer, accepted a plea deal that will land him on the state's sex offender registry and will bar him from holding public office. Cusack will be sentenced to probation and will not do any time in jail.

Cusack still faces a separate lawsuit from the girl that accuses the 52-year-old of using his influence to get her a job as a beach tag collector and start a sexual relationship, according to the report.

Cusack will be sentenced on December 18.
