The cleanup for a Grassy Sound home that was swept into the bay during strong storms earlier this month has begun.

According to NJ.com,

The cleanup effort is estimated to cost between $150,000 and $200,000, although the exact amount will not be known until after it has been completed. Workers were out at the bay removing debris this week. DEP is funding the work for now and will work out reimbursement with homeowner Stuart Tait at a later date.

The house was in disrepair when the storms came through, according to neighbors.  The house was vacant, so thankfully, nobody was hurt.

NJ.com says that a Go Fund Me Page has been started to help the homeowner with the cost of the cleanup.
