The 2014 high school football season in South Jersey is right around the corner, and both the Cape-Atlantic League and the West Jersey Football League will appear a little bit different than they did in 2013.

At the end of last season, CAL officials released realigned conferences while still keeping the two conference set-up. However, because of Hammonton's move to the West Jersey Football League (more on that in a moment) the Cape-Atlantic will have an odd number of teams this year and in 2015.

So, if you didn't pick up on that, Vineland, Ocean City and St. Augustine move from the National Conference to the American while Holy Spirit and Oakcrest move from the American to the National and Hammonton moves from the Cape Atlantic League to the West Jersey Football League.

And Speaking of Hammonton, they'll join the WJFL's NATIONAL DIVISION with Clearview, Delsea, Kingsway, Pennsauken and Timber Creek.

The West Jersey Football League, like the Cape-Atlantic and others in the state, realigned this summer as well. Several nearby schools switched divisions for 2014 season with Wildwood being one exception, staying in the CLASSIC DIVISION.

Remember that 97.3 ESPN is South Jersey's premiere source for high school football action on the air and online with 24/7 news and information on your school and your school's every move on and off the field.
