Update: police have made an arrest following a weekend bank robbery in Rio Grande.

The Middle Township Major Crime Unit, along with the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, and NJ Transit Police have arrested Clifford Ginyard in Atlantic City. Ginyard was charged with first degree robbery and was held in Cape May County Correctional Center on $100,000 bail.

Around 1:00 Saturday afternoon, police say a Hispanic male or a light skinned black male, around 5' 2" to 5' 4" in height, wearing blue jeans, striped tank top, and a Cincinnati ball cap, entered a Bank of America branch in Rio Grande and slipped the teller a note demanding money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.  Police say the suspect was last seen walking south on Fourth street.
