The New Jersey State Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a hooded, armed robbery suspect who, according to the "Star Wars" reference on their Facebook page, is "is not a Sith Lord."

According to authorities, the suspect is wanted for robbing a delivery driver at gunpoint on East Commerce Street in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, on New Year's Eve.

The incident took place at 9:08 p.m. as the victim was leaving Tips Trailer Park following a food delivery when the suspect approached his vehicle, showed him a handgun and then demanded that he hand over whatever money he had. The victim handed over approximately $600 before the suspect fled the area on foot, state police said in the press release.

The suspect described as a black male, 5'8 feet tall with an average build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a black hat that the victim described as having "tassles," which could also have been a dreadlock hairstyle.

"Please share and let's get the job done," NJ State Police posted on their Facebook Page Wednesday, along with a bit of levity "And to the inquiring #‎StarWars fans: No, he is not a Sith Lord."

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect's identity is asked to contact the Bridgeton Station Detective Bureau at 856-451-0106. Police say tips can also be submitted anonymously.
