Hammonton Police Conducting DWI Checkpoint

Here's a heads-up if you will be driving through Hammonton this Friday night.

The Hammonton Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office will be conducting a roadside DWI checkpoint this Friday, July 11th, starting at 10PM at Crescent Tire and Auto at 325 S. White Horse Pike. Officers are reminding everyone to be responsible and have a designated driver if you'll be out partying.

And before you think we're giving away a big secret, the Hammonton Police Department posted this information on their Facebook page. Simply announcing a DWI checkpoint can serve as a deterrent for people who might be thinking about getting behind the wheel after having too much to drink.
