Hamilton Township Police have arrested a man from Mays Landing and are searching for a Galloway Township man following an armed robbery Wednesday evening.

Just before 5:30 Wednesday evening, officers responded to Wrangleboro Road near the Black Horse Pike for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, a juvenile victim from Mays Landing told police that he was robbed at gunpoint.

After a brief search of the area, police located one of the suspects, identified as 19-year-old Jullius Bechard of Mays Landing. Bechard has been charged with first degree armed robbery, second degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, conspiracy, and theft. A handgun was recovered during the investigation.

Officers continue to search for a second suspect -- 20-year-old Bryan Highsmith of Galloway Township. There are currently active warrants out for his arrest. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hamilton Township Police Department at (609) 625-2700.
