Two Atlantic City properties owned by Landry's Inc. had their credit card systems accessed  by hackers over the period of approximately 18 months, according to the company's website.

The Golden Nugget Casino and the Rainforest Cafe on the Atlantic City Boardwalk are among Landry's locations in New Jersey and across the country that were targeted by hackers, who installed a program on credit card systems which allowed them to steal names, numbers and expiration dates.

At the Golden Nugget, credit cards used at Anthony's Steakhouse, parking, banquets, spa and salon were hit by the hackers.

Company officials said they have heightened security measures to prevent the issue from happening again but urge anyone who has been to one of their affected locations in the past two years to check for fraud on their cards.
