A Galloway Township man was arrested on Friday on a child endangerment charge after a child was found to have been left unattended in a car for three hours.

Friday, officers responded to the 200 block of North Leipzig Avenue in reference to a report of a child left unattended in a vehicle. When they arrived, police located 26-year-old Troy Bowser who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was incoherent, according to a press release. Bowser was supposed to be babysitting the child who he left in a car for approximately 3 hours, according to the child’s parents. The child was not injured in the incident.

Bowser was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and possession of heroin. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.
