Food Drive Announced to Help Those in Need in South Jersey
The Diocese of Camden has announced a one day food drive called “faithFULL” to help area food pantries serve those in need.
The Diocese of Camden is organizing a one-day food drive in order to collect canned food items for the hungry across South Jersey. On Sunday, February 23rd, Camden Bishop Dennis Sullivan has asked every parish and school in their diocese to bring canned food items to either the Food Bank of South Jersey on John Tipton Blvd. in Pennsauken or to the Community Food Bank on the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township.
“This drive will help these organizations as well as Catholic Charities feed those in need at a time when food banks and pantries are traditionally low on food,” said a statement released by the diocese on Monday, printed in the South Jersey Times.
