It's the finale that left us hanging. One of the worst endings to the best shows. The Sopranos has been off the air since 2007, but many still want to know if Tony survived the end. Show creator David Chase has been tight-lipped about the ending...until now.

The answer is tucked away in on a message board about a fans interaction with David Chase.

We were in a tiny coffee shop, when, in the middle of a low-key chat about a writing problem I was having, I popped the question. Chase startled me by turning toward me and saying with sudden, explosive anger, “Why are we talking about this?” I answered, “I’m just curious.” And then, for whatever reason, he told me. [...]

He shook his head “no.” And he said simply, “No he isn’t.” That was all.

There you have it. Tony didn't die at the end of The Sopranos. Chase is now back peddling saying that the conversation didn't exactly go down like that. For Chase's explanation and more on the series finale, click here.
