WINSLOW — Several good Samaritans are credited for saving a driver Friday night after he crashed his car into a tree and was trapped in the flaming wreckage.

Winslow police said Tyrone Gollopp Jr., 20, of Sicklerville, lost control of his car just before 7 p.m. on Erial Road and drove into a large pine tree at the Camden County Park Recreational Area.

Witnesses to the crash came to Gollopp's aid and pulled him out of his car after it burst into flames.

He was flown to Cooper Medical Center in Camden where he is in critical but stable condition, according to police, who said they do not know what caused Gollopp to lose control of his car.

Gollopp was the only person in the car, police said.
