Gov. Chris Christie is confident he will be on the main stage for the next Republican presidential debate in September and in the race for the long term.

"I'm in the top 10 and I'll stay in the top 10," responded Christie when asked by Tucker Carlson on Fox's "Fox and Friends"  if he'll be in the main debate Sept. 16 on CNN. Christie is tied for the final spot with Ohio Gov. John Kaisch. The final ranking will be determined on the results of polls released between July 16 and Sept. 10.

Christie said his entire family is on his latest campaign trip to Iowa and all are doing well, calling it a "learning experience."  "We're enjoying ourselves so far. Check with me in December or January. We'll see how it's going then," joked Christie.

Christie, the former U.S. attorney general in New Jersey, had strong words for Democrat front runner Hillary Clinton and continuing questions about classified email on her personal server when she was Secretary of State. "She hasn't been cross-examined by a real prosecutor. When I get the chance to do that the American people will get some real answers," the governor said.

The governor laughed off protesters who jumped on the "soapbox" stage at the Iowa State Fair as he spoke on Saturday.

"It's just another day in New Jersey but it happens to be in Iowa." He shrugged off concern by other candidates that Donald Trump is getting all of the media's attention in the race so far. "Go out there and lay out your program, let people know who you are. That's the most important thing."

The fact is, the laws apply to Hillary Clinton, whether she thinks they do nor not. Fox News
