Car Crash at Absecon Supermarket

Absecon police say a Galloway man crashed his SUV into a local supermarket building.

According to police,

At approximately 12:08 pm, members of the Absecon Police Department responded to the Shoprite Food Market at 616 White Horse Pike, for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the building. When units arrived on scene, a black 2016 Chevy Tahoe was resting upright against the front of the main entrance foyer.

Fortunately, there we no bystanders or any injuries reported at the scene, and only minor damage to the building.

The driver of the SUV is an 87-year-old man from Galloway. He was treated by the Absecon Rescue Squad and later transported to the hospital after suffering only a minor injury.
