An example of government at its finest today at multiple levels. My 40-year friend, Rocco Jiugliano, owner of Capri Pizza in Northfield, had an early morning fire. I was honored to help serve as an "honorary quarterback" of sorts today regarding an incredible effort by some fantastic public servants.

Northfield Mayor Erland Chau, Council President James Travagline, Councilman Cliff Murray, Building Inspector Jim Dickerson, Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson, Helen Fink, Pat Diamond, and a "hero" county health department inspector (whose name I will track down) -- Capri Pizza could have been easily closed for business until at least Tuesday had not so many people extended themselves today. The County Health Inspector did the required final approval inspection well after his regular work day had ended.

People take cheap shots at government officials and employees all of the time. Here is an example of outstanding leadership and dedication by numerous staff members. The sense of urgency displayed today was extraordinary.

I just spoke with Rocco. He is so happy and grateful. To have a fire and open the same day is amazing. Thank you to all.
