The City of Absecon will hold a joint meeting on February 12th at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers in City Hall at 500 Mill Rd. in Absecon.

The Mayor, Council and Planning Board are inviting all the residents of Absecon who desire to learn more about the impact of newly revised FEMA Advisory Base Flood Elevation Maps on property in Absecon.

The City Planner, Stuart Wiser of Remington, Vernick & Walberg, will make a brief presentation and provide the most up-to-date information we have available.

Anyone who lives in a flood prone area may find this meeting informative.

The City of Absecon will be applying for FEMA mitigation funds to assist homeowners with the cost to elevate certain homes in Absecon. Residents whose homes are located in areas prone to flooding are advised to consider this funding opportunity. The newly released FEMA Advisory Base Flood Elevations Map for the City of Absecon is available at City Hall for examination.
