Absecon Police Investigating Shots Fired at an Apartment Building

Absecon Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a person who shot at an apartment building Tuesday night.

Around 9:00 Tuesday night, officers responded to the Oyster Bay Apartment complex off of California Avenue after receiving several calls about shots being fired. Officers found bullet casings in the parking lot and bullet impacts to the exterior of building #2. Several witnesses reported hearing the gunfire and seeing a short, black male running from the scene before he got into a dark colored sedan. No injuries were reported.

Their preliminary investigation indicates the shooting targeted a specific apartment in building #2. Anyone with information is asked to contact Absecon Police at (609) -641-0667 or Atlantic County Crime Stoppers at (800) 658-TIPS.
