Three killed in Freehold motor vehicle crash
Three people are dead from a car crash in Freehold on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident on Kozloski Road in Freehold took place around 4 p.m. when a car going at a high rate of speed crossed the yellow line and struck an SUV or van on the overpass at Route 33 business according to 7 ABC. The impact knocked that vehicle onto another.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office confirms three fatalities from the accident and a fourth victim in critical condition. At least one crash victim was taken via medical helicopter to a hospital.
Rio Franciosa of Farmingdale recalls hearing a "long screech followed by a big bang" just before the accident, according to the Asbury Park Press.
New Jersey Fast Traffic says Kozlowski Road remains closed between Route 33 and Freneau Boulevard as an investigation continues.Witnesses to the accident are urged to contact the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office at 732-522-8885 or Freehold Police at 732-462-7908.
