137 Bags of Heroin Taken Off the Streets in Middle Township

A Rio Grande man is facing drug charges after police observed a narcotics transaction at a bus stop in Middle Township last week.

On January 8th, Middle Township police officers observed 33-year-old Sean P. Hillegass of Rio Grande conducting a narcotics transaction at a bus stop on Route 47 in Rio Grande. That bus stop is located within 500 feet of a public park. Officers arrested Hillegass and, according to a press release, found him with 137 bags of heroin and $1127.

Hillegas was charged with possession of heroin, distribution of heroin, and distribution of heroin with 500 feet of a public park. Hillegas is being held at the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.
